A Tanzanian World Chef Championship Contestant Mr. Fred Uisso has emerged the 4th winner of the World Chef Title in the competition held in Alabama State in USA from 8th to 15th November 2016.
Speaking with TTB by telephone from Alabama USA Mr Uisso who contested in two categories; World Steak Championship and World Chef Championship was officially announced 4th winner of the competition by Executive Director of World Chef Championship Mr Mike Mc Cloud outshining other 21 contesting chefs from different countries worldwide.
Mr Uisso has made a unique history by being the first contestant from the African continent to be nominated for World Chef Title and became the 4th winner.
The World Chef Championship competition is under the American company known as MNA Creative. The winner in World Chef Championship will be awarded 100,000 USD and the winners in other different categories will be awarded 10,000 USD each.
Selection of the chef to compete in this event started in April 2015 in which 3700 were registered and scrutinized in the first stage whereby 900 chefs were picked up to final stage. At this stage 21 chefs including the only one from Tanzania and Africa Mr.Fred Uisso qualified for the competition.
