President Samia Engages Tanzanian Youth in Oman on Global Tourism Promotion Drive
The President of the United Republic of Tanzania, H.E. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, today met with a delegation of Tanzanian youth living in the Sultanate of Oman at the State House, Tunguu, Zanzibar.
The delegation, led by their representative Mr. Khalid Al Barwani, briefed the President on their active role in supporting Tanzania’s global tourism promotion efforts through the internationally acclaimed film “Tanzania: The Royal Tour.”
During the meeting, President Samia commended the youth for serving as tourism ambassadors and for championing Tanzania’s image abroad. The delegation has been instrumental in promoting the film across several countries, including Oman, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, and Burundi, helping to position Tanzania as a premier global tourism destination.
The President reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to engaging Tanzanians in the diaspora as strategic partners in economic diplomacy, tourism promotion, and national development, noting that youth involvement remains central to advancing Tanzania’s international visibility and investment appeal.
